Freddy Nerks Dolcetto 2018

The wine is made from grapes grown by Tynan Road Vineyard. The vines were grafted onto chardonnay vines in 2010 using cuttings from neighboring vineyard "Yakka Paddock" The winemaking is very similar to how I make Pinot Noir. I have used full carbonic maceration techniques, basket pressing and secondary fermentation in stainless steel vats before being transferred to barriques for further aging. There is no fining or filtration of the wines however a small amount of SO2 is added to preserve the wine against spoilage. The resultant wine is a bright, aromatic, fruit forward style with sublime blue and red fruits. The mild tannin structure allows easy drinking in its youth.
