BK Gower Pinot Noir 2021

Gower is traditionally a pretty sexy beast. Elegant, musky, dashing, rugged… many an adjective has been ascribed to this wine over the years. At the heart of each iteration, though, is just beautifully grown fruit from a vineyard that is so well tended, we’re always able to choose the ideal moment of physiological ripeness… which is an overly complicated way of saying that we pick it when it tastes amazing, not just based on numbers from the chemistry lab. With its long, cool ripening, 2022 has given us concentrated, punchy, rawness. The juice for Gower 2022 was quite pretty and particularly juicy, but still had weight and the promise of depths to come with time and development. A fresher, younger version of Gower than the usual, which is what comes of being a muse for the season.
