      This Vintage Fortified Shiraz is a "Port-style" wine made from stumpy, ancient vines dating back to 1928. The 2019 vintage is unctuously sweet and spicy, bursting with beautiful aromas of blackberry, blueberry, and Middle Eastern saffron spice. On the palate, dusty, earthy notes give way to complex layers of aniseed, black olive, and dried fig. It is mouth-filling and generous without being overtly sweet, featuring a long, clean finish that suggests it will cellar for many moons.
