Product Description
The Depardon family has been mastering the hills of Beaujolais since 1848, and this brilliant Beaujolais-Villages shows exactly why seven generations of expertise matter. Sourced from fruit grown on granite and quartz flecked soils right at the lower boundary of the prestigious Morgon cru, this 100% Gamay completely skips whole-bunch fermentation. Instead, it is fully destemmed and vinified in a classic Burgundian style to prioritize purity. It pours a remarkably deep, dark ruby in the glass. On the nose, it hits you with a vibrant, lifted aromatic payload of wild strawberry, juicy blackcurrant, and a touch of savory spice. The palate is surprisingly plush, round, and powerful, balancing expressive dark fruit against a fine, structural line of minerality and supple tannins. It finishes wonderfully dry and clean, making it a stellar match for a charcuterie board.
