A rich, full-bodied cabernet from one of the Barossa's most celebrated sites.

Through a boundary realignment in 2019, Hewitson acquired 3ha of cabernet sauvignon, planted in 1996 with the lauded LC14 clone.

10% whole bunch, three weeks on skins in open fermenters with pump overs. 18 months' maturation in new and used French oak.

Lifted notes of blackcurrant and cassis with peppery tones and graphite. The palate is silky with fine oak tannins, background cedar notes on the mid-palate followed by a plump core of berries.
