Mount Gay Black Barrel – Rum

A bold and complex expression from the oldest running rum distillery in the world. Crafted in Barbados by Master Blender Trudiann Branker, Black Barrel is a meticulously balanced blend of intense aromatic pot still rums and crisp column still rums. After an initial maturation in ex-American whiskey casks, the blend is finished in deeply charred bourbon casks (giving the rum its name). This secondary aging process imparts robust, warming notes of toasted vanilla, sweet caramel, and peppery spice, finishing with a beautifully smooth, oak-driven richness. It is exceptional sipped neat or mixed into a premium dark spirit cocktail.
