Product Description
Former chartered accountant turned low-intervention wizard, Sven Joschke, is completely changing the way we look at classic Barossa blends with Le Rupert. Heavily inspired by new-wave European styles and a stint in France's Jura region, Sven trades high extraction and heavy oak for pure, energy-packed elegance. This Shiraz, Grenache, and Mataro blend pours a brilliant ruby red with vibrant purple highlights. On the nose, it hits you with a delightfully pretty payload of fresh glazed cherries, wild blueberries, and a sophisticated whisper of earthy Turkish spice. The palate is light-to-medium bodied, extraordinarily fleshy, and beautifully energetic, letting juicy dark berry fruit glide over a dusty, ultra-fine tannin structure. Finishing completely dry with a nice sweet-and-sour lift, it is a masterclass in modern, drinkable Barossa red that practically screams for a plate of rich charcuterie.
