Tingalpa’s Crafty Monk Brewing are putting local hops front and center with Benedictine, a luxurious Australian Oatcream IPA. Brewed to show off the very best homegrown hop varieties—Vic Secret, Galaxy, and Eclipse—this hazy creation leaps out of the glass with a vibrant aromatic burst of ripe stone fruit, bright citrus peel, and sweet tropical fruits. A heavy addition of rolled oats alongside a touch of unfermentable lactose endows the beer with a thick, velvety body and a signature pillowy mouthfeel. On the palate, juicy waves of passionfruit, peach, and zesty mandarin coat the tongue before settling into a soft, restrained bitterness. Ultra-smooth, rich, and dangerously drinkable.
