Spangled Drongo Dark Ale Neighbourhood Froth Issue#1

The Murwillumbah legends at Spangled Drongo take a turn into the dark side with their Dark Ale, featured as Issue #1 in their Neighbourhood Froth series. Pouring a deep, mahogany brown with a thick, tan foam head, this approachable dark drop opens with enticing aromas of roasted malt, dark cocoa, subtle coffee, and a whisper of earthy hop spice. On the palate, a smooth, biscuit-forward malt bill takes centre stage, delivering warm flavours of milk chocolate, toasted nuts, and subtle caramel without feeling heavy or cloying. A delicate line of classic hop bitterness balances the rich malt body, sweeping across the tongue to leave a clean, exceptionally smooth finish. Easy-drinking, comforting, and wonderfully sessionable, it’s an effortless neighborhood dark ale made for easy catch-ups and cooler evenings.
