Product Description
The radical farm to glass purists at Tasmania’s Two Metre Tall are throwing down an absolute punk rock masterclass with Lacto Black. Defying conventional marketing and brewing rules alike, this ink black elixir spends a patient five years maturing inside old oak barrels, undergoing a completely spontaneous wild fermentation. On the nose, it hits you with a profoundly complex aromatic payload of deeply roasted malts, dark cocoa, and fresh espresso, beautifully cut by a sophisticated, balsamic like tartness. The palate is deep, intensely savory, and light bodied, layering dark bitter chocolate and smoky malt richness against a razor sharp, mouthwatering natural lactic acidity. Finishing bone dry, long, and beautifully puckering with a delicate hint of oak woodiness, it completely blurs the lines between beer and art. It is a stunning, slow-fermented monument to time and terroir, built beautifully for the cellar or the dinner table.
