Product Description
This is a rare collaboration between two historic Cistercian abbeys. For this edition, Val-Dieu’s powerful Grand Cru is aged for 12 months in oak barrels sourced directly from the Abbaye de Lérins in the Mediterranean. These barrels once held the monks' prestigious red and white wines, infusing the beer with a "divine" complexity. Expect a deep amber pour with a sophisticated aroma of port wine, roasted malt, and fresh walnuts. The palate is rich and velvety, offering layers of dried figs, raisins, and a hint of spice, all balanced by a warming, noble wood finish.
