Striking an absolutely perfect balance between robust malt structure and heavy hitting hop oils, this local classic turns up the volume on everything we love about the style. It pours a striking, deep ruby red color with a thick, frothy off white crown. On the nose, it hits you with a highly expressive, super charged aromatic payload of resinous pine, earthy dankness, and a sweet, nostalgic hint reminiscent of red frogs candies, courtesy of a generous Simcoe and Chinook hop billing. The palate is beautifully medium to full bodied, layering rich, toffee tinged biscuit malts beneath a wave of bold, juicy citrus and resinous complexity.
