The flavor mad scientists at Newstead’s Working Title are clocking in for late night sensory experimentation with Night Shift. This massive, pitch-black Imperial Stout spent a long, slow 12 months resting inside Heaven Hill bourbon barrels, absorbing gorgeous layers of soft vanilla and charred oak coconut. But they didn't stop there. The liquid was then conditioned on toasted, salted peanuts and infused with a subtle habanero tincture. On the nose, it hits you with a heavy payload of dark chocolate fudge, sweet bourbon warmth, and a distinct nutty richness. The palate is luxuriously thick, velvety, and deeply complex, letting the savory, oily peanut profile dance against decadent roasted malts.
